Grief counseling session

Support designed around your needs

Virtual sessions for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Available statewide in Illinois.

Types of loss we help with

Grief doesn't look the same for everyone. We provide specialized support for every kind of loss.

Losing someone you love
The end of a relationship
Miscarriage, stillbirth, or infertility
Job loss
The loss of a home
Immigration or loss of home/community
Changes in health or identity
Losing a future you expected to have
The loss of a cherished pet

Some losses are obvious. Others are harder to name, like when someone is physically present but psychologically gone, or when a role or identity you once held no longer exists. These "ambiguous" losses often create the most confusion because there's no clear ritual or language for them. Some grief is acute and intense. Some is quiet and prolonged. Some becomes chronic, especially when it's avoided, pushed down, or never fully acknowledged.
